Our QFL Teams The Mean Machine
is in the lead with 3680 points. Charisma is the top earner with 1650 points! Their custom jerseys and great charity idea were a big hit.
Our QFL Charity is our Relay for Life team. Each QFL team is trying to earn the most money for the common good.

are running a close second
with 3550 points,
Donna is their big leader with 1045 points!
These red-hot dames won 250 points for their great team spirit. They not only dressed all in red and white, they brought red a white dessert for everyone! They are playing with ferver for Relay for Life in honor of their very good friend, Joan, who is currently recovering following surgery, chemo and radiation. Their Charity Drive plan is to sell
their "Jiddlys"
(see newsletter and shop display)  The Gabby Quilting Geckos
are in third place with 2950 points.

Sabrina and Sara were off fishing, but will be back for more opportunities to finish up projects and catch up to the other teams!
Their Charity Drive plan is to host a quilters yard sale. Bring your items to the shop by June 2nd, then come to their yard sale on the 4th and 5th at the Fabric Patch! One man's junk... another man's treasure!!  The Quilting Farmers
are doing a great job
with 2295 points. Thelma and her stready diet of quilting and quilting
has her in second place for overall points with 1550 points!
They were also down by
two members this week.
We expect their points to increase
over the next few months,
after gardens are in.
After all... they are the Quilting Farmers.
And remember their motto... slow and steady wins the race!! (as evidenced by the mound of quilts they brought in for show and tell!!)
They will be raffling a quilt for their charity fundraiser.

Quilters Football League
The QFL has NOTHING to do with football. We just wanted to be able to say... "not now honey, it's QFL season". We are getting together monthly to receive our tasks, challenges, free patterns, demos and point opportunities. All are great fun and count towards GREAT prizes, including: 100 fat quaters to the winning team; and an opportunity to travel to Houston Quilt market with the Fabric Patch staff, and a $ 100 gift certificate for the winner.
Watch the national website at www.teamqfl.com for the fun, all the patterns, and lots of "extras". Next rally is May 22nd 9:30 - ? bring projects to work on, your machine and notions,
and be prepared to earn points!! Bring a potluck salad to share for a 100 points!
