Gate 17 Retreat Center

410 1st Ave NE Soap Lake, WA 98851

This beautiful facility was designed by a quilter! Great views and lots of light in this huge work space perfect for quilters and scrapbookers!

Located directly across the street from the East Beach, the large 2000 sq ft Retreat Center is detached and just a few steps from the 1906 Bungalows and 2019 new-build Condos. The spacious, open room features many extras (see descriptions and pictures below) and is set up to personally accommodate your groups size and unique needs. We offer classes, local tours/hikes and historical information if desired. We have a separate massage bungalow available upon request (our local massage therapist has 23 years experience).

Unique local amenities in this eclectic little town include fantastic ethnic restaurants, live theater, coffee shops, bike rental and large super market… all within two blocks of the facility. The historic healing lake is perfect for treating all skin ailments and arthritis; but best of all... the quilt shop is only 4 miles away!

Three are 42 four foot tables, 20 armless rolling chairs, 30 six foot design walls and two ironing boards/irons.

The facility is wheelchair accessible with three bathrooms and a full commercial kitchen complete with dishes and utensils for 20, a double oven, large capacity refrigerator, premium wine fridge, and dishwasher. Small appliances include 40 cup coffee pot, Keurig coffee maker, 6 quart slow cooker and blender. We provide a hot/cold water cooler with two 5 gallon bottles of purified water as we discourage the use of single use water bottles.

This well-equipped center is just steps from the house and bungalows, and offers an option for large groups, as it can easily be arranged to accommodate up to 30 quilters if you want to take advantage of the RV park located directly across the street.
